Winner of the Yamaha Canada Grand Prize and Gold Medal of the Canadian Chopin Competition, pianist Irene Florence Wong has performed on stage in Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, Metropolitan Museum, NJPAC, Suntory Hall (Tokyo), Sejong Center (Seoul), National Performing Arts Center (Beijing), National Symphony Concert Hall (Taipei), Mozarteum (Salzburg), Banff Center for the Arts, Chan Center for the Performing Arts (Vancouver), and Glenn Gould Studio (Toronto). She has been broadcast live on North American radio and TV, featured on European news, and the Millenium marked her international debut as a guest artist of the Canadian Embassy in Central America. A founding member of Musica Sequenza and Musical Seasons Quartet, Ms. Wong has also held the position of principal keyboard for the Chamber Orchestra of New York, and has toured with International Sejong Soloists and guest artist Gil Shaham. Having graduated from Juilliard with two Masters in Harpsichord and Piano, student of Lionel Party and Seymour Lipkin, she served as assistant and copyist to David Dubal, acclaimed author, lecturer, and WQXR host. She also received the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders, Morse Teaching, and Gluck Community Fellowships at Juilliard.
