Ms. Ye is a professionally and strictly trained classical pianist for 25 years and has taught students for over 12 years with techniques incorporating both Asian and Western methodologies. She has taught classical and pop music to students from age 4 to age 77. Ms. Ye teaches ABRSM exams, especially from Grade 5 to Grade 8, including theory, aural, and sight-reading. Her students got Distinction results on ABRSM exams. Ms. Ye has performed piano concerto with symphony orchestra as a solo pianist, won international competitions, and held performances and solo recitals in many venues. Ms. Ye has a wide range of repertoire and presents masterpieces from all periods in different genres. Additionally, Ms. Ye improvises, arranges, composes, and presents her works. In addition to standard Western studies that students should learn and focus on, Ms. Ye is also willing to teach other lesser-known, fun, or relaxing works if/when students and parents would like to as it can build their love of music. Having a solid educational background in both music and psychology, Ms. Ye merges knowledge and ideas of both fields to discover students‘ characteristics and musical potentials to teach, encourage, and develop students in their own unique pianistic, musical, and life journeys.
