Keris started learning the violin at age six and was admitted to the Phil and Eli Taylor Academy at age nine, where she received a full scholarship. In 2018, Keris placed first in the 16-year-old strings category in the Canadian Music Competition, and in 2012 she placed first in the Ontario Music Festival with her Taylor Academy string quartet. In effect, her quartet was given the opportunity to perform at the Glenn Gould Studio at the age of thirteen. During the past summers, she participated in Music Niagara, directed by Atis Bankas, performing in the “Young Virtuoso concert” series. In May 2023, Keris graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in the studio of Atis Bankas at the Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of music. Following this, she graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Master’s degree in music production. Keris plays on the Ferdinando Garimerti 1935.
