Tzu-Wei Jack Huang, a Taiwanese cellist, has captivated audiences worldwide with his virtuosity and passion for music. Notably, he made his concerto debut with the Jenaer Philharmonie at Neue Weimarhalle, Germany, and served as the guest cello principal with the Taiwan Philharmonic/National Symphony Orchestra, performing at esteemed venues such as the National Concert Hall of Taiwan. In addition to his performance endeavors, Tzu-Wei is actively involved in prize-winning chamber ensembles across Taiwan, Italy, and the United States. His chamber ensembles have won the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition multiple times. He also shares his expertise by teaching masterclasses at National Kaohsiung Normal University in Taiwan, imparting his knowledge and skills to aspiring musicians. Furthermore, Mr. Huang serves as a Teaching Assistant of Music History at Manhattan School of Music. He also holds the position of Doctoral Fellow at The Center for Career Readiness & Community Impact at Manhattan School of Music, serving as a liaison between the school, students, and staff at senior living residences, memory care programs, and community centers. Additionally, Jack has participated in prestigious music festivals such as the Music Academy of the West, the Bowdoin International Music Festival, the International Summer Academy of Mozarteum University in Salzburg, and Toas School of Music. His education journey has been marked by excellence, supported by scholarships and awards. He received the Yolanda Sardi Schwartzman Scholarship Fund during his Master of Music studies at The Juilliard School, where he studied under Richard Aaron. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Music at Manhattan School of Music under the guidance of Philippe Muller. Currently, he is pursuing his Doctoral of Musical Arts at Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Julia Lichten. Jack’s dedication to excellence extends beyond his academic achievements. He continues to enrich the classical music scene with his performances and collaborations with international musicians, including Nai-Yuan Hu, Paul Neubauer, Andrew Bain, Patrick Jee, and Scott Lee, showcasing his remarkable talent and commitment to his craft.
