About teacher

Latino American violinist Dominique Valenzuela has enjoyed many performances across the world’s top stages. From Shanghai’s Jaguar Symphony Hall to Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center, he has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra member. Dominique started playing violin in public school in West Texas before he began conservatory training at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. A member of The Tianjin Juilliard School inaugural graduate class, Dominique is also a recipient of the Jerome L. Greene fellowship at The Juilliard School in New York City. Dominique’s major teachers include Kevin Lawrence, Joel Smirnoff of the Juilliard Quartet, Shanghai Quartet violinists Weigang Li and Angelo Xiang Yu, and first violinist of the Ysaÿe Quartet, Guillaume Sutre.
