About teacher

Pianist Janice(Jisu) Kim outstands in versatile rolls that encompass solo recitals and concerti. As soloist, Ms.Kim has performed in South Korea and extensively in the U.S with such orchestras as New York Symphony Orchestra and Longwood Symphony Orchestra. As recitalist, she has appeared in such major venues in Korea as Universal art center and Kumho art hall. She also has performed in Merkin hall and Carnegie’s Weil recital hall. The New York Times review wrote of her Weil recital: a pianist who “Stood out” among the other players in the concert. She is a winner of various competitions including Baltimore Music Club, The First Piano Concerto competition, and The New Jersey Young Artist competition. She holds Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from The Peabody Conservatory.
