About teacher

Lawrence Marino, violinist and string educator, holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from West Virginia University, a Master of Arts Degree from Teacher’s College of Columbia University and an MBA with an emphasis in accounting from Fairleigh Dickenson University. While an undergraduate student, Mr. Marino was active in both orchestral and chamber music programs. He has remained active as a violinist, performing in various symphonic groups, musical productions, and chamber ensembles. Mr. Marino is also a founding member of the Iceni Ensemble, a string quartet that performs a wide variety of musical styles for diverse audiences. He has also served on the board of directors for both the North Jersey Philharmonic and the Arts Center Chamber Music Concerts, where he spearheaded audience development and educational projects for both organizations. Mr. Marino resides in Teaneck, and has served the Teaneck Public Schools teaching violin, viola, cello and bass since 1990.
